SURF are hosting a Research Activists’ Day for anyone (both SURF members and others) in the university interested in improving the research environment on Thursday September 30th at the Dylan Thomas Centre, 9.30-5pm. That day we’ll decide on lots of activities for next academic year. In order to make those activities possible, there will be up to £25k of EPSRC BTG funds for people to bid for in a mini-“sandpit” format, so we can be really ambitious! Get your thinking caps on! As a reminder, this year SURF ran two interdisciplinary seminar series, the Research-as-Art competition, a Research Coaching Scheme and much more. What’s your idea? What would you like to help with or lead? We hope that you will be able come along and contribute to Swansea’s positive interdisciplinary research culture. If you’d like to – please email Sue Ace (firstname.lastname@example.org) to register your interest. There may be restrictions on numbers, but we really hope that anyone who wants to will be able to come along. (This day will be part funded by the UKRC4SETWomen).
